2013 Main Model - A. Lange & Sohne GRAND COMPLICATION

A watch in which the manufactory has realized the maximum of the most complex functions, indicating for all the height that it can achieve.

The sophisticated GRAND COMPLICATION watch mechanism is hidden under a prefabricated white enamel dial marked with Arabic numerals of the watch marks, a minute railroad-style scale and four symmetrically arranged additional dials of a characteristic design. The balance wheel, which can be called the heart of an exclusive manual winding movement, operates at a frequency of 18,000 vibrations per hour. In tribute to Ferdinand A. Lange, the founder of Saxony's precision watchmaking, the Glashütt version of the anchor movement was used in the movement, the basis of which was one of his early inventions.

The barely noticeable curvature of the closed anchor pallets prevents the slightest possibility of sticking on the anchor wheel. The perfect execution of these complex parts contributes to the best precision. The balance unit uses a spiral made in Lange workshops. With full winding springs, a 30-hour power reserve is provided. All parts of the complex manual winding movement are hand crafted and exquisitely decorated in accordance with Lange's highest quality standards. The model will be released in an amount of 6 copies within 6 years. Price: 1 920 000 Euro.
