Dubai is a leader in winter tourism

This conclusion was reached by the participants of the visiting session of the Board and the Regional Council of the Russian Union of Travel Industry (RTS), which was held in Dubai from November 14 to 19. Tourism industry workers from the regions of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and the Baltic states arrived in Dubai in order to get acquainted with the tourism potential of the emirate, at the invitation of the Department of Tourism and Commercial Marketing of Dubai (DTCM).

“In conditions when the market conditions for outbound tourism are rapidly changing, the Russian consumer seeks to optimize costs and choose reliable destinations where he can get the most quality services and combine different types of tourism - cultural, educational, eventful and business. In this sense, Dubai - one of the most promising areas, "said Yuri Barzykin, vice president of RTS.

According to him, in recent months, the exit flow from Russia has fallen by 30-50%, however, European destinations have taken the main blow, and the demand for beach resorts has remained almost at the same level. “Dubai has very good chances to remain among the most popular destinations for those who want to compensate for the lack of summer beach vacations. Firstly, reliable travel agencies work here, and secondly, with relative high cost compared to Turkey and Egypt, it is much cheaper than the farthest destinations - Vietnam, Dominican Islands or Mauritius. "

As noted by Sergey Kanaev, head of the office-representative office of DTKM in the region of Russia, the CIS and the Baltic countries, this year the leadership of the department significantly increased interest in Russia. Event tourism is actively developing in the emirate, which provides a year-round flow of tourists. "One of the main advantages of Dubai, guaranteeing a comfortable rest for our compatriots in the current foreign policy and economic conditions, is the absence of an agreement with the United States on the mutual extradition of suspected offenders," said Sergey Kanaev.

He also noted that one of the goals of the tourist authorities in Dubai is to maximize the flow of tourists from neighboring regions - the CIS and the Baltic countries.

As you know, in the past few years, Russians have increasingly chosen beach five-star hotels. However, today one of our goals is to stimulate the massive flow of tourists. At the same time, Dubai itself does not plan to become widespread: in terms of product quality, the emirate will remain a luxury destination, even if we are talking about three-star hotels, "the head of the DTCM representative said."
