The first air library will appear in the UAE

ORGANIZERS OF THE KNOWLEDGE WITHOUT BORDERS PROJECT, supervised by the Government of the Emirate of Sharjah, in collaboration with the airline AIR ARABIA, LAUNCH A NEW INITIATIVE WITH THE PURPOSE TO MOTION PASSENGES.

The idea of ​​an air library on board Air Arabia aircraft was proposed at the 2015 Sharjah Children's Literature Festival. The library will be located in on-board trolleys for passenger service, containing about 40 books with an average volume of 200 pages each.

The list of references will be extensive, including books on economics, literature, as well as on the environment, cultural heritage and health. In addition, a series of publications will be presented by His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, a member of the Executive Council and ruler of Sharjah. Passengers will be able to select the book of interest to them from the list and order it from the flight attendant. A new type of service will be offered to passengers starting May 1, 2015, on flights from the emirate of Sharjah to Cairo, Amman, Beirut and Khartoum.
