Restaurant Overview

CUT by Wolfgang Puck

CUT is a large network of steakhouses created by world-famous chef Wolfgang Pak (in the list of famous immigrants from Austria, some even put him in second place - immediately after Arnold Schwarzenegger). The Pak Restaurant in Dubai, at The Address Downtown, is spacious and elegant, decorated simply and without frills, and the crackling hearth and buzz of the open kitchen give it a special atmosphere.

The terrace surrounding the restaurant overlooks the Bourges Khalifa and the musical fountain. Steak lovers will find a rather varied menu - dishes from American marble angus beef, Australian hybrid wagu-angus and "real" Japanese wagu from the Kobe region (recommended). The waiters will not only answer all your questions, but also show you samples of raw meat to demonstrate the difference.

The steaks here are very good. Of particular note is the New York Beef Steak from the sirloin of selected Australian Wagu Angus beef - a delicate delicate meat coated with a baked, crispy, sprinkled with salt crust that melts in your mouth. Steaks are served without sauces and side dishes - you can order them separately. Unfortunately, the CUT from Wolfgang Pak has one drawback - the restaurant is very expensive. However, thanks to the excellent cuisine and excellent service, it certainly deserves attention.

NOBU

One of the most popular Japanese restaurants in the world - Nobu - is located in Dubai at the Atlantis resort, The Palm. With the light hand of its founder Robert de Niro and chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa, the restaurant deservedly has a reputation as one of the best in the city, but we recommend paying special attention to its Friday brunch.

Nobu brunch is an unforgettable pleasure. By the official start at 12 noon in the restaurant is no longer crowded, which indicates the popularity of the place. Guests here are greeted with the phrase "Irasshaimase!" (which in Japanese means "Welcome!"); the chefs at the sushi bar will kindly talk with you until you are escorted to the table. The restaurant looks impressive and magnificent thanks to the twilight and the use of a picturesque twisted rope in the interior, and a red-orange color scheme, coupled with brown rustic elements and dim lighting takes you to the atmosphere of the Far East. The atmosphere at the brunch is very energetic, which contributes to the DJ at the console with incendiary sets of house music.

As for the menu, at a very reasonable price you can find the most exquisite delicacies of the world - fresh oysters from Normandy, sushi and sashimi from Japan, peerless foie gras and much more. There is a choice of dishes on the menu, but there is also a buffet with delicacies that you can go to an unlimited number of times.

You can choose the main dish yourself from the menu: miso with charcoal fish and yuzu, beef wagyu steak with beef heart skewers, or from local delicacies: for example, Benedict eggs with crispy rice, thin-cut steak with eggs and tomato salsa or shrimp with truffle and quinoa risotto, which are served with salmon and pancakes with salmon caviar with yuzu cream. The restaurant's signature dish is black cod, which is definitely worth a try. All dishes are divinely delicious and just melt in your mouth.

The dessert is crowned with a meal: unusual matcha toasts, fondant from green tea and passion fruit. And cheesecake lovers simply have to try the classic Nobu dessert with a creamy texture and delicate taste.

Lexington grill

If you want to dine in peace and quiet, come to the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Ras Al Khaimah: just an hour's drive from Dubai, and you enjoy panoramic views of the well-kept gardens and picturesque beach. Release your inner Gatsby. Expensive costumes, fringed dresses, long strings of pearls - and forth, enjoy life. After all, once you cross the threshold of the hotel, you are magically transported to New York. References and curtsies to the legendary Manhattan hotel of the same name are everywhere here - from Art Deco finishes to geometric prints and grand staircases.

If you go down the spacious marble corridor called the Peacock Trail, you will be taken straight to Lexington Grill, the signature steak restaurant. The institution has the shape of a horseshoe, along the perimeter there are huge rectangular and square glass partitions, inside there is a dark wood and comfortable, comfortably located sofas.

You should start with signature snacks - Alaskan snow crab, Atlantic smoked salmon and small clams. Then pay attention to the dishes from the chef, the famous Lidge, who for the second time in a row becomes the best meat cook of the year, and absolutely deservedly. One of his specialties is a delicious assortment of meat and seafood. On the contact grill, you will be brought an American lobster and a steak from the thin edge of a black angus tenderloin from the American Greater Omaha farm. Both, however, can overshadow the fried beef ribs. The secret ingredient - the marinade for smoking - is simply incomparable, and the meat, properly pickled during the day, turns out to be surprisingly tender.

The menu, drawn up by a 30-year-old chef from Jamaica, will probably be hard to beat. Moreover, if you want to taste dry-ripened beef, the restaurant offers several dishes from tenderloin of American black angus from Great Plains farm.

Gaucho

“Gaucho is not a steak house,” says Daniel Thomas, general manager of the restaurant, “this is an Argentinean restaurant specializing in steaks.” Well, standing in a sparkling glass elevator and looking at the gloomy, ghostly, but very beautiful interior, you have to admit that he is right.

The hall is divided into two zones - an internal and an open terrace. As soon as the restaurant receives permission to use street space, frosted glass on the terrace will be removed and guests will be able to freely enjoy the view of the emirate's towers.

A well-cooked steak of quality meat tastes almost the same everywhere. And despite the fact that no one disputes the merits of grass-fed beef served in Gaucho, Churasco Chorizo - a steak from the thick edge of the tenderloin marinated in olive oil with garlic and parsley - is beyond praise here. There is also an excellent selection of the best Argentinean wines. As a result, the menu, interior, service and vibrant atmosphere are enough to want to come back here.
