Hugh Masekela is the pride of African jazz and a prominent figure in the global music industry. He found many of the great musicians of the Age of Jazz and was familiar with Louis Armstrong, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Thelonius Monk, Charles Mingus and Dizzy Gillespie. Their influence, as well as African rhythms and motifs formed Masekela's unique style.
During his fifty-year career, he played on the same stage with the legendary Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, The Who and many others.
On December 11, Hugh Masekela will perform for his Dubai audience both old hits from the previous 40 albums and new material from the 2016 No Borders album.
