Tourists rescued from a sinking yacht off the coast of the UAE

The UAE police rescued seven tourists from a sinking yacht.

On March 22, 2019, the police of the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, received an emergency signal near Al Arab Port. Due to the weather, a cruise yacht with seven tourists could sink.

The police responded on time to the signal and rescued seven tourists - six Europeans and one Asian. One of them during the incident fell into the sea, some received minor injuries.

Muhammad Saeed Al Khumaid, the commander in chief of the police of Ras Al Khaimah, said the police provided first aid to tourists and brought them ashore. The officer urged tourists and residents to check weather information before embarking on a cruise.
