Dubai, UAE. The presentation of the famous painting by Leonardo da Vinci "Savior of the World" (Salvator Mundi) in the Louvre Museum of Abu Dhabi (UAE) is postponed indefinitely. This was reported by the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Emirate's capital.
Earlier, the premiere was scheduled for September 18. Last November, the painting was sold to Abu Dhabi authorities at Christie's auction house in New York for a record US $ 450 million.
The picture was long considered lost. It depicts Christ in a sky-blue robe, blessing with his right hand, and holding a transparent ball with his left.
