Dubai, UAE. 90% of the air in the UAE will become cleaner over the next three years, the country’s Federal National Council said during a session with leaders of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Climate Change.
The ministry noted that during the period of 55 industrial enterprises in the UAE, they were fined between 2014 and 2017 for violating the law on environmental protection. It is about air and water pollution. In total, more than three thousand sudden checks were made.
The ministry noted that annually in the UAE 6.5 million tons of non-combustible waste are produced. On average, every resident of the country generates 1.2 - 1.3 kg of waste per day.
