In the mountains of the UAE rescued a tourist who has fallen from a height

A young tourist rescued after a fall in the mountains of the United Arab Emirates.

Last week, a 21-year-old European tourist was rescued in the mountains of the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. She tore off the mountainside, trying to climb to the top of the Wadi Showka.

Emergency relief teams at the Main Directorate for Security of the Ministry of the Interior rescued the girl and delivered her to a medical facility with a broken leg.

Colonel Salem Al Suwaydi said the headquarters received the application at 17:30 on Thursday. A helicopter with medical personnel immediately flew to a rescue operation. The victim was given first aid.

Al Suwaydi said that the tourist fell from the slope and was trapped in an area difficult to access for landing an air vehicle. For this reason, the participation of a specialized rescue team that used a crane to raise the girl was required.

Al Suwaydi urged thrill-seekers to take all precautions, especially when climbing mountains, given that this requires special equipment and protective clothing. He said that such events should be carried out under the supervision of qualified specialists who can cope with any emergency.
