In Dubai, police saved a cat drowning in the sea

Near the bulk island of Palm Deira in Dubai, a policeman jumped into the water to save a drowning cat.

Dubai police rescued a drowning cat at sea in the Palm Deira area.

Lieutenant Colonel Ali Abdullah Al Nakby, director of the Dubai Police Marine Rescue Services Department, said one of his officers was near the Hyatt Regency Hotel when he heard cat screams. Looking closely, he saw that the animal was drowning in the sea.

The policeman called the command center and warned his colleagues, and he threw himself into the water. He grabbed the cat with one hand, and with the other tried to swim to a safe place.

Meanwhile, the police officer’s colleagues hurried to the scene. They covered a frightened animal with a blanket, dried it, and then released it.

“Dubai police are helping anyone who needs to be saved - be it a person or an animal. The cat needed help, and we responded as soon as possible to save her life,” said Lieutenant Al Nakby.
