Dubai Public Transport Will Go On Special Holidays Schedule

Dubai authorities announce changes in the operation of public transport in the emirate during the birthday of the Prophet, Memorial Day and National Day of the United Arab Emirates.

Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announces schedule changes for its services in Dubai during the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad, Martyrs Day, and National Day.

Customer support centers will be closed during the holidays from Thursday, November 30, 2017, and will resume work on Monday, December 4, 2017. All paid parking areas will be free in the emirate, with the exception of multi-level parking spaces, starting from Thursday November 30, 2017, and until Monday, December 4, 2017.

On Thursday, November 30, metro red line stations will be open from 05:00 to 1:00 (the next day). On Friday, December 1, these stations will operate from 10:00 to 1:00 (the next day), and on Saturday, December 2, and Sunday, December 3, they will work from 05:00 to 00:00.

Stations of the green metro line will be available on Thursday, November 30, 2017, from 05:30 to 1:00 (the next day). On Friday, December 1, these stations will operate from 10:00 to 1:00 (the next day), and on Saturday, December 2, and Sunday, December 3, from 05:30 to 00:00.

On Thursday, November 30, the tram will run from 06:00 to 1:00 (the next day), on Friday, December 1, from 09:00 to 1:00 (the next day), and on Saturday, December 2, and Sunday, December 3, - from 06:00 to 1:00 (the next day).

Major bus stations such as Gold Souk will operate from 05:00 to 00:29. Al Ghubaiba Station will be open from 05:00 to 00:10. Stations such as Satwa will be available from 05:00 to 23:35, with the exception of Route C01, which operates around the clock. The bus will run from Al Qusais from 04:30 to 00:00, and from Al Quoz Industrial Station from 05:00 to 23:30.

Buses from Rashidiya, Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Battuta, Burj Khalifa / Dubai Mall, Abu Hail and Etisalat metro stations will run from 05:00 to 00:20. All routes will be synchronized with the opening hours of the metro service.

Intercity bus service will work as follows: major stations, such as Al Ghubaiba, will be available around the clock at Sharjah Station (Jubail), and Abu Dhabi Station will operate from 04:30 to 00:00. Stations like Union Square will be open from 04:30 to 00:25. Buses will start serving Al Sabkha Station from 06:15 a.m. to 01:30 a.m. (next day), and Deira City Center Station will start serving from 05:35 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. At Karama Station, service starts at 06:10 and continues until 22:20.

During the holidays, the water bus will serve the Marina Mall, Marina Walk, Marina Terrace, Marina Promenade stations from 12:00 to 00:00. Water taxis will operate from 09:00 to 22:00.

During the Prophet’s birthday, Memorial Day, and National Day celebrations, ordinary abra boats will sail through the canal stations from 10:00 to 00:00 (midnight). Opening hours at Sheikh Zayed Station - from 16:00 to 23:30.
