One of Dubai's Palm trees will become a theme park area

Dubai-based developer Nakheel plans to build several world-class theme parks on the man-made island of Palm Jebel Ali, Nakheel's chairman of the board said in an official statement.

According to a statement made by Chris O'Donnell, in collaboration with the American corporation Busch Entertainment Corporation (BEC), Nakheel plans to build four theme parks on the palm tree: SeaWorld Dubai, Aquatica, Busch Gardens and Discovery Cove.

At the moment, Nakheel is already collaborating with such global giants as Trump, Cirque du Soleil and Atlantis. As for the developer’s new projects, for the time being it’s only known for certain that the SeaWorld Dubai theme park will host shows with killer whales, dolphins and sea lions, and in Discovery Cove park children and adults will be able to communicate directly with representatives of the world flora and fauna, for example, swim in the same pool with dolphins, stingrays and exotic fish.

The project will be implemented in four stages, the first of which is planned to be completed in 2012.
