Arabian Travel Market 2009 will be held in Dubai

The 16th largest tourist exhibition in the Middle East, the Arabian Travel Market will be held from May 5 to 8 at the Dubai International Exhibition Center.

More than 400 exhibitors from 62 countries, including 60 national tourism organizations of six world continents: Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, Africa, the USA and Asia, have already confirmed their participation.

During the exhibition, 16 seminars are planned, in which 25 lecturers will take part. The seminars will discuss such issues as the growth of Spa tourism, the maximum use of opportunities in the field of cruise tourism, which is developing fast in the Middle East, the regional industry of MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) and the future of air transportation.

Within the framework of the exhibition, on May 8, Career Day will be held, where exhibitors will meet with visitors who want to start working in the tourism and hospitality industry, or improve existing career achievements in this area. On Thursday, May 7, "Travel Agent Day" will be held, giving representatives of tourism companies the opportunity to improve their professional education. Such a large-scale event as ATM enjoys the support of the Department of Tourism and Commercial Marketing of the Government of Dubai and personally the ruler of the emirate Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
