In the UAE earned the world's first gold vending machine

The world's first gold vending machine began operating on May 13, 2010 at the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi.

The “Gold-To-Go” vending machine, coated with 24-karat gold on the outside, gives out gold bars weighing one, five, ten grams and one ounce (28.3 g). In addition, six types of gold coins of various weights are on sale, on which the symbols of the states mining gold are engraved, among them, for example, Canada, Australia, South Africa and others.

The price of one gram of gold in a vending machine is 175 dirhams (US $ 47.8), five grams - 760 dirhams (US $ 207.6), ounces - 4645 dirhams (US $ 1269).

According to Thomas Geissler, Executive Director of Ex Oriente Lux AG, which supplied the “gold” machine in the United Arab Emirates, “thanks to this new technology, gold will be available to the public” and “its secret will be revealed.”

The German machine “Gold-To-Go” is, to date, the only one in the world. It is equipped with the latest security measures, including the latest anti-money laundering software. In addition, the machine can track the price of gold in the international market, thanks to its built-in website, which provides updated information every ten seconds. Gold price information is sent to the website every ten minutes.
