The Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) and HSBC Bank signed a five-year agreement, under which HSBC becomes the general sponsor of the international golf tournament held in the capital of the emirate by the European organization PGA European Tour in 2011.
Thanks to the partnership between ADTA and HSBC, the golf tournament, dubbed the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship, will be one of the largest international sporting events to be held in the capital of the United Arab Emirates. The tournament is scheduled for January 20-23, 2011. The place for him was chosen by the Abu Dhabi Golf Club. Tournament participants will compete for a prize of US $ 2.7 million.
The ADTA leadership, which first initiated the golf tournament back in 2006, expects at least five of the top ten golfers in the world to attend. German golfer Martin Keimer, two-time winner who is by far the fifth best golf player in the world, has already confirmed his desire to participate in the upcoming large-scale international event Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship.
