Damac is actively promoting its construction projects in Dubai, including the Trump International Golf Club, which has become a central part of an elite residential community.
Representatives of the developer Damac Properties reported that in the period from August to November 2016 he signed 15 construction contracts for a total of 1.26 billion dirhams ($ 343 million). They also confirmed that work on his key projects in Dubai, Akoya and Akoya Oxygen, is ongoing.
Akoya, valued at 6 billion dirhams ($ 1.63 billion), is known for its luxurious accommodation, a club and restaurants located around an 18-hole golf course named after the recently elected President of the United States Donald Trump - Trump International Golf Club. Damac reports that the club will be open in the 1st quarter of 2017.
The Akoya Oxygen project covers an area of 55 million square meters. ft. and features a 19-hole golf course, private rainforest, luxury residences, schools, kindergartens, and various facilities.
The contracts concluded by the developer concern the construction of villas and apartments in Akoya and Akoya Oxygen, as well as the construction of infrastructure facilities in Akoya Oxygen.
Mohammed Tahineh, Senior Vice President of Commercial Affairs at Damac Properties, said Akoya is starting to become a full-fledged residential community with 1350 villas commissioned, as well as with the upcoming opening of Trump International Golf Club.
“The overall progress on Akoya's golf infrastructure is 95%. Trump PRVT, scheduled for commissioning during Q1 2019, marks the completion of general development, ”he said.
He also said that eight major contractors have been appointed to build over 5.5 thousand villas in Akoya Oxygen.
