Fourney, how do you feel in the atmosphere of the haute couture industry, as Amato Couture House appeared relatively recently?
Honestly, I don’t know, because I don’t think about it. I just work and I like it.
What does the word mod mean to you?
Fashion is a lifestyle. Fashion is the self-expression of individuals.
In what ways can one emphasize the true elegance and sensuality of a modern woman? What is femininity in your understanding?
Femininity is, first of all, behavior and attitude to life. This is how a woman carries herself no matter how feminine, elegant or romantic her dress is.
What inspires you to work?
It may seem strange, but I'm inspired by music and movies. I find city streets and their architecture inspiring. I am also inspired by nature and natural colors. And finally, I draw inspiration from my many travels.
How did you feel when creating the first dress for Heidi Klum?
I was happy, because it was a great honor for me.
You, along with 11 more talented young designers, have chosen to participate in the Swarovski Elements Sense of Two show in Dubai this year. What gave you participation in this event?
It was a unique chance to show their work. I was pleased to be part of such a large and glamorous event, especially considering my many years of experience working with Swarovski Elements.
How would you rate your partnership with Swarovski Elements when creating your latest wedding dress collection?
Swarovski Elements is always a guarantee of quality, as well as the glamor and unique textures that I can achieve in my dresses. Swarovski crystals add the sparkle they need to wedding dresses.
Do you remember your first collection? What was she dedicated to?
When I took part in the competition of young designers in the Philippines, I won the first prize there. My collection consisted of 11 outfits inspired by the tropical climate of my homeland. It was thanks to them that I was able to convey the spirit of the Philippines to the whole world of international fashion.
What things tell you that the New Year holidays season is starting?
Christmas trees, angels at their tops, Christmas lights everywhere, festive music and winter weather.
What makes you happy when you start work on a new collection?
The challenges facing me.
What are your most proud achievements? What are your plans for the foreseeable future?
I usually don’t like to talk about myself much. I would prefer my achievements speak for themselves. In the near future - work on the international collection of pret-a-porter and fashionable youth street clothes.
